What to expect
The course runs online and you communicate with your tutor using the latest social media technology, as well as Skype “live video” and, of course – email.
The course teaches you the entire business cycle of being a freelance web developer. Everything is explained and there are video tutorials and exercises to step you through everything you need to do.
Your first task as will be to get a client. All the sales and marketing you need is covered. Simple, practical skills for making sales are explained. And you will be provided with marketing materials, sales strategies and references.
“You will receive all the instructions and mentorship necessary to go out into the world and find someone who’s willing to pay money for a professional-standard website.”
Please be advised that we have clients “in waiting” to partner with students who wish to skip the selling phase of the course – and go straight to the “technical stuff”. Please inform us ASAP to be introduced to a waiting client.
Throughout this first project you will be working “for ebusinessmatters.com” – and will be stepped through the entire process of gathering requirements, developing a website, conducting consultations, outsourcing technical tasks and, of course, getting paid.
Payment Details
We’ve come up with what we think is an innovative solution for keeping the cost of this course as low as possible for participants.
You will charge your client €550 (or its equivalent in another currency) – which represents a verifiably excellent bargain for that client (as explained here).
That €550 will be paid by the client directly on our website (or via you) and you will be given an allowance for any expenses you incur in developing the website.
The payment breakdown is as follows:
- Students pay €150 to book a place on the course – and get access to modules 1 & 2
- The client pays €250 upfront from the client having gathered requirements and agreed on a prototype -
- The outstanding €300 will be paid by the client directly via the ebusinessmatters.com website or by bank tranfer on delivery of the finished website
On completion of the client project, the student will receive a certificate as an approved WordPress Developer – as well as a roadmap for advancement in the field of freelance web development.
- We’re PayPal verified – which means “you’re protected from checkout to delivery. Your financial info is never given away to sellers. And if something goes wrong with your order, your transactions will be fully reimbursed.” – Learn more about PayPal
- We offer full refunds – We understand that people’s circumstances change, which sometimes means participants can no longer make time to take the course. Any refund requests up to 1 week before commencement of the course will be honoured in full.
